I bought the same MacBook Honeycomb skins from another website for more than twice the price. These were just as good, made out of exactly the same material, and just as good a fit. I applied using the wet method, and I suggest you do too.
Best value for a MacBook Pro skin. These are about 33% cheaper than other brand-name products. My only gripe is that the thinner strips (e.g., on top of the keyboard and above and below the trackpad) are a little too stretchy and didn't recover well from having to peel back and re-apply the film when aligning them. I had to cut a small piece out of the middle of the top strip. However, it's not noticeable because of the pattern. Overall, it blends well with the space black MacBook Pro. I would add a peelable backing to the top to make aligning easier, at least on the thinner parts. I also did not use the screen strips because putting the border on the display didn't look right. I wouldn't mind having a strip on the bottom casing under the display and maybe the flat parts of the sides. I'd buy this again sans the screen strips.
This is the first time I’ve ever put a skin on something and I was a little nervous I wouldn’t be able to get it on correctly. I’m so glad I bought it anyway because it exceeded my expectations. The material, look, and feel are awesome. The installation video made it pretty easy as long as you don’t try to rush through it. I accidentally got one with a sim cutout when my phone has a digital sim, but I immediately was sent a replacement. I loved it enough I ordered a matching one for my iPad.
Applying vinyl skins to laptops is not for the impatient. I did the bottom first. I thought I was doing a good job at first, but the bubbles came out slowly. I wish I could buy just the bottom so I could retry it again. The top took me over an hour to apply. I broke it down into 5 sections and squeegeed the bubbles out, then moved down, did it again, and repeat. I have a slight offset that's a couple mm off that is noticeable in the logo. This is all operator error. If I had to do it over again, I would, but I do not want to warp the vinyl.
